This area is beautiful desert scenery, quiet sandy beaches and spectacular roads to drive along. Lots of small villages with bars and tapas. Sea provides a great intense blue backdrop for photographs a must visit place in Andalusia.

We live about an hour away, and this is an area we love to bring visitors. The small coastal resorts are all different and offer superb beaches, some naturist. All the year there is something to see and do here.

We were on a small trip in the Cabo de gata. The biggest advantage of the beach is that there are miles of empty space, so you can have the beach for yourself.

We did our internet homework so that we could do the coast in two days. Even with quick stops in 4 places, two days simply wasn't enough. Each stop deserved a 1/2 day at a minimum. Give this place time to enjoy...there's a lot more...More
