This is a great city with lovely palm trees, water fountains and spacious walkways. It is a planned city meaning it is practical and beautiful, this area is definitely worth a walk down, you can take great photos or sit down by the palm trees.

Worth a stroll down to the Cervantes teatro and back. A long pleasant paseo that stretches down to the beach. Good for shopping but horror of horrors, no El Corte Ingles! Some branded shops like Massimo Dutti. One gastro shop for hams and charcuterie that the Spanish can't live without. Highly recommended. Carrefort supermarket is there too but mainly frozen... More

These reviews confuse the real Paseo de Almeria which is the main shopping street with one way traffic, well trimmed "round" trees, many beautiful old kiosks and many bars, cafes and restaurants with the Paseo Maritimo Carmen de Burgos which is along the seafront and finally with the very large Avenida Federico Garcia Lorca which has two roads with a... This avenue is where everything happens in the city of Almeria it is where all the main shops are as well as numerous cafes & restaurants. The avenue at anytime is clean well maintained and most importantly safe. I would not hesitate recommending walking along this avenue night or day

Do what the Spanish do and walk the paseo, looking at shops, eat and drink café con leche y tostada for breakfasts. Take your time end enjoy it!

Cutting straight through the centre of Almeria, this large avenue is a great walk, with shade from trees and shopping opportunities.

Excellent area for shopping with many bars and restaurants. Worth a visit if you're in Almeria. Closes for siesta though.

I don't do shopping if I can help it! Well - if I need a new pair of shoes or some more beer then I do venture to the shops and I do go with the missus to do the food shop! My wife loves shopping in Almería, particularly in the Paseo and the little streets emanating from it. I... More

Well kept and clean walk area. Some very interesting statues and pieces of art work. Also it is a nice shaded area to keep out of the heat.

Nice area of the city for a nice stroll under the shade of lime trees. Areas along the way where sometimes street entertainment. Close to food and drink if required
