A very well laid out set of exhibits in this archaeological site about 20km north of Almeria. A reconstruction of the buildings in a seperate area to the archaeological digs really brings the place to life. One of the earliest early bronxe age sites in...More

Apart from being a cold day (and the fantastic staff opened the gate so we could drive to the archaeological site and stay out of the wind), the site is tremendous. The museum has good descriptions in Spanish, English and German, and scale models showing...More

This may not be of much interest to people who have no interest in archeology, as it is mostly low walls (the ruin of an ancient fort). Be sure to watch the movie in the visitor center first, as it gives a good explanation of...More

Well-laid out displays, clear and thorough explanation of who were the settlers at Los Millares and how they lived. Lots of pottery examples, stone tools, metal tools, trade items to show everyday life and work, how it evolved and the progression from early time, through...More

I am un-aware of any public transport in this area. You may be able to book on as part of a tour, but the best way to explore is to hire a car. Then you can take your time and travel to where ever you want at your own pace... More
