An interesting building, busy with students, but worth popping in and enjoying the arched balconies looking down on a pleasant quadrangle

This is a private building not really open to the public - it's the Art School, and has classes until quite late in the eveings, But nobody minds you popping in to the central patio to have a quick look. It's just off the main shopping street, the Paseo de Almeria, on the right as you walk down from... More

The atmosphere from the art of school and the "patio" deserve the visit. Do not take longer than 10, 15 minutes. You can appreciate different works from the students

Really enjoyed visiting this building. Looked specially good in the evening with the lights on. Reminded me very much of buildings in Cuba.

We searched out the "Escuela de Artes" mainly because we were looking for film locations. This building was used for the Palace of the Sultan of the Republic of Hatay in "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" in 1988 because the Alhambra Palace, proved too expensive to rent for filming.
