During our week and a half long tour of Andalusia we rented a car, so getting there was super easy. It only took us about 20 minutes from our hotel and we ran directions on my iPhone. The directions were spot-on. The entrance fee is...More

On our last day in Cordoba we decided to take a look at this historical site. There is a shuttle bus service, which we had missed, so decided to take a taxi and we are glad we did. The cost of the taxi was €14...More

We caught the 10.15 bus from the bus stop across the road from the Eurostars hotel, having bought tickets from the information centre the day before. It is suggested that you visit the museum first and watch the video before visiting the site. However we...More

Take sunglasses, a hat and your walking shoes! This visit is over fairly rough surfaces, climbing up and down, not recommended for anyone with difficulty getting around, but well worth the visit. There's a well-marked bus you can catch in town, opposite the Eurostars Palace...More

I saw this historic sight on my own rather than with a tour group. There are plenty of group options, but if you are like me and prefer to do your own research and make your own arrangements, it's not that hard. I got a...More

An excellent museum – very modern and with a high ambition. The museum is free for EU-citizens. There is a view point that is a no point to visit – nothing really to see that you can’t see from the outside. If the museum is...More

Beautiful old interesting ruins to walk around. Interesting history and museum attached. The museum is mostly old pots that have been dug up; but you can see how cooking vessels haven't really changed.

Well worth travelling out to see these ancient ruins which are likely to keep archaeologists going for many years. Underground modern exhibition centre with pleasant café is very good. A coach (a couple of euros, cheaper for over 65's) takes you up to the actual...More

As others have noted, this is a historic treasure, one far from being fully unearthed. Even though much of it was plundered over the centuries, what remains and is being recreated are remarkable. We generally prefer not to take group tours, but after going back...More

The site andalucia has information about this place. Type in Madinat Al Zahra and you will see it. I couldn't write it as a proper web link because TA did not allow it.
