This park is also in the heart of the city, beautifully maintained and wonderful spot to stroll or sit. It is just below the old town and a great break from the busy traffic, especially with the heavy construction going on.

I had a nice walk in the botanic garden during a hot day. The best part is in the historical part, as i named it the jungle part, which is very cool and has a great diversity of plants. I would recommend visiting the garden...More

It's worthwhile having a stroll through the gardens which are delightful, it's always a few degrees cooler and shaded by the plants. Near the port at the south of the city easy to find too.More

Beautiful gardens with huge trees and foliage. Fruit trees and a hibiscus trail that was in full bloom. The cafe there was incredible with homemade items and lovely presentations on the plates. We had a nice visit and it was accessible from the on/off trolly.

Worth while visit. The park is extensive and would be difficult to see in one day. All sorts of species. Some bits require a little maintenance however. Good cafe reasonably priced, tidy and clean. Staff were friendly and service good. Toilets throughout the park.

This a wonderful place to spend the day alone walking through the beautiful gardens or just sitting and reflecting. It is also a wonderful place to go with friends or family. The cafe has terrific food that is a must at lunch time.

My friend and I visited recently having read good reviews. The first part was quite pretty and tranquil, but there was very little colour, mainly trees and it looked like the gardens needed money spent on them as they were in parts poorly maintained. It...More

This garden is beautiful. It's perfect for long, calm walks and chatting, especially if you like plants. You can walk around for hours and experience a world of colours and smells. It's really a lovely visit, especially on a warm (but not ecessively hot) day

Found it easy to get the little red tour bus at the bus station, platform 1. You can also pick up the bus outside Maria Zambrano station. The journey takes about 40 mins. It was lovely just to wander around in the calm and peaceful...More

A lovely tranquil place, but could do with a bit more TLC. The walks are shaded with rivulets between the trees. Not suitable though for invalids. Also the catering left a lot to be desired, suggest ´sandwiches in a damp cloth´!!! Still it has great charm for...More
