Having never been particularly interested in Picasso's style of painting, I found myself in Malaga on a rainy day and decided to see what he was all about. I can honestly say that, though I'm not a convert, I now feel I understand his style so much more. The information on the audio handsets is very good.

Visited this because of the hype, generally have seen better. Som of the pottery on show not worth bothering about. Suppose when you have worldwide acclaim anything goes

This was probably our least favourite museum in Malaga, and we visited quite a few! It just wasn't what we were expecting and we found it rather dull. The electronic handsets were a good idea though so you knew what you should be seeing!!

Loved the museum's architecture with the period courtyard and simple white-washed walls. The collection, organized thematically rather than chronologically, really shines here. About 200 pieces in the main collection I think, so very manageable without going in to overload. The audio tour was also quite good. We tried to make the Wednesday English tour at 10 am but didn't quite,... More

The museum is a celebration of all things Picasso and it does this it exemplary fashion. The building is a modern redesign with spacious halls and great lighting. The design leads to good traffic flow and the viewing is not overly crowded, however, there can be lines for entry as they limit the amount of people in the building at... More

Planned to visit this museum the day it rained. We did not plan for the queue. 15 mins wait before we got in. Lots of great art. Highly recommended.

You won't learn much you didn't know about Picasso here other then that he was born in Malaga. He left as an infant and never came back so its a dubious claim to fame for the city. The museum is nonetheless an interesting pitstop to escape the sun and edify oneself just a tiny little it.

I learnt Picasso hails from Malaga. He left some time in his youth. However his local town have laid claim to him with fabulous tributes and films and intersting pieces of art from his vast collection. I saw his notes books and development through the decades it was very helpful to gain an insight into the man. If you enjoy... More

The Picasso Museum in Malaga has a unique collection spanning his entire life's work. Many of the pieces are truly extraordinary. In addition the current temporary exhibit of Joaquin Torres Garcia was fabulous.
