The resting place of the Catholic Monarchs Ferdinand and Isabella

It was a nice place to visit because the entrance fee was covered by the Granada Card we had purchased. However the Capilla is notnearly as impressive as the cathedral

Came there with a Granada card, so didn't have to pay. I wasn't offered any audioguide, so could only figure out something's. the place itself is designed to impress. Lots of gold and art.

We enjoyed the Royal Chapel but found the cathedral, especially the rather proselytising commentary, a bit over the top. The other problem with the commentary was an assumption that the listener was Familia with both the bible and the jargon of church architecture.

I am always surprised how they were in 1517 able to build such huge cathedral and had money to decorate so much. I took the photo from Alhambra, to understand the huge size of the Cathedral. It is quite well hidden from bigger road "Calle Reyes Catolicos, so from Calle Gran via de Colon side it is easy to find.... More

A magnificent building with all the pomp and splendour of a cathedral. On the day we visited it was a warm day of sunshine and the cathedral was very cold - take a jumper.

This is a beautiful Catherdral it is 5€ entrance but you do not have to pay for an information audio guide. There is lots to see and loads of information from the guide. It is 500 years old this month which is pretty amazing and still in good condition.

Beautiful renaissance architecture, with a beautiful collection of paintings. It is worth the effort to look for it.

Nothing compares to the Alhambra and in my opinion, the cathedral and royal chapel are not worth visiting. The Cathedral might be one of the biggest in the world, but had little of interest other than an impressive ceiling. Actually we had been looking forward to the Royal Chapel. We could only find a joint entry ticket with the Cathedral... More

The cathedral is very pretty, but the royal chapel cannot be missed. It is one of the most beautiful and breathtaking places around Granada.

Once in Granada, it would be a pity not to see these two separate churches. The Royal chapel contains the tombs of Isabella and Ferdinand who marriage united Spain sufficiently to create an Empire. But don't skimp on the Alhambra to see these.
