The Generalife is the summer palace in Granada. The palace is lovely, not as lovely on the inside as the Alhambra is. The gardens are simply spectacular and are well worth walking through. I would strongly recommend visiting.

Further: The citrus trees may have fruit but the likelihood of flowers would be low HOWEVER you can certainly expect to be able to enjoy the Alhambra and Generalife with less crowds so you will be able to see the buildings... More

Hello, I was there again in April 2017 and the beds were in full bloom so nothing to worry about if April is your choice.
