Such an interesting history. The gardens are what gave this site its world heritage status as they carefully researched the plants and lay out of what would oriogionally be on the site.

Further: The citrus trees may have fruit but the likelihood of flowers would be low HOWEVER you can certainly expect to be able to enjoy the Alhambra and Generalife with less crowds so you will be able to see the buildings... More

Hello, I was there again in April 2017 and the beds were in full bloom so nothing to worry about if April is your choice.
