City Hall between 2 Plazas

In between Plaza Nueva and San Francisco this is a beautiful building still in use by the city and the local police.

We were surprised that nobody was there to give some assistance on how to buy tickets. It's a self-service kiosk and once we figured out how to purchase a ticket (credit card only), we were told tours only took place at certain hours. In our case we had to wait one hour. My husband and I get by in Spanish... More

The town hall is still used. Amazing, given the history and architecture of the place. The local police are based here if you should require them. There are great places to sit behind the town hall. In front there is a beautiful square.

Yet another example of great civic architecture in the centre of Seville. Its appearance is enhanced by its location in the middle of th grand square at the end of the Constitution Avenue with unrestricted views and little traffic to interfere with the effect of its grand facade.

My wife and I took the guided tour and enjoyed it very much. Our guide was a young woman and she was an expert in the history of the building. We saw the top floor, which had wonderful rooms that were decorated beautifully. I specially liked the room with the golden coffered ceiling. There was plenty of art in the... More

This functioning town hall of Sevilla is a stunning representation of "Plateresque" architecture, popular between the gothic period and the Renaissance. Look it up and read about it. (Yeah, it's almost gothic, but you learned something didn't you?)

This is the town hall and what a lovely building very well kept I wish we had building like this in Spain. I only had 2 full days in Servile but I am going back in March and staying at Boutique Hotel Caas del Poeta which is very central maybe expensive but well worth it good for honey moons

I walked by this plaza while part of a free (pay as you want) tour. The guide indicated it was the site where the inquisition put people to death. When one considers what happened on this square, you realize the grimness of parts of Spanish history. The architecture is varied. One side very ornate, the other, less so. It's a... More

The City Hall building is a beautiful one with impressive bas-reliefs and nice architecture. But the things that are going in the square next to it are also very attractive, markets and shows, culture festivals, almost everything is worth seeing and experimenting.
