This attraction is free and housed in a magnificent building. There are some documents on view here but mostly the impact is from the massive bookcases on view built to house the archives. There are nice views out of the first floor windows.

If you watch the movie the Archives come to life as having had a very varied and unusual life. It was interesting to visit, they had 2 exhibition which were in good as far as I could make them out, not having much Spanish. Some good views too.

Everything written is in spanish , so we did not understand or enjoy this. it is free however , major attractions should post stuff in english so international tourist can appreciate and understand history as well.

This building has been beautifully restored and a nice free attraction !! However, it's important to watch the movie which is about 10 minutes to really understand the purpose. History buffs will love !!

If you're interested in cartography, history and exploration, this should be holy ground -- but the experience is wholly underwhelming. So much potential, such little imagination. When we visited, there was little or nothing on display - this has to be among the most under-utilized collections in the world, at least in terms of interacting with general public

Yet another superb civic building in the heart of Seville next to the cathedral. Here is stored the documentary records relating to the Spanish colonies which is appropriate as Seville was the designated centre of the Spanish trade with its colonies in the 16th century.

Despite of its low rating, it is actually one of the UN approved world heritage. Entry is free as well. But the issue is that lots of display is in Spanish. There is a short film on the 1st floor (or second floor in American English) introducing the history and the significance of the place! It has English subtitle. I... More

A beautiful building with free entry housing an amazing collection of documents relating to the Spanish Empire. The architecture of the building is amazing. Well worth a visit.

This beautiful Renaissance building houses 80 million pages of documents relating to the administration by Spain over its overseas territories. A very helpful 15 minute video relates the history of the building, the archives and an overview of the collection.
