This lovely structure was originally built as a minaret for a mosque, although it has since been converted into a bell tower.

This tower is freely accessible when you buy a ticket for the cathedral. However, it is a HUGE climb (via a spacious ramp), and this can be too much if you are not in good shape. The view is splendid though!

This is included within the cathedral entrance. It's easy up climb as there are slopes rather than steps. On the climb there are various viewing points but at the top there are fantastic views in all directions across the city. Well worth it.

The views from the top of Torre Giralda are fantastic, giving a panoramic view of Seville- great for taking photographs. Beware that that ascent is challenging. Although there are no stairs (only ramps), congestion at the top means that you often end up stalled on...More

You can access the Giralda tower through the cathedral (so you pay to get in the cathedral which gives you access to the tower). It's no where near as difficult to get to the top as you think, as there are 35 slopes and then...More

The tower has a very interesting history which you'll learn more about if you take one of the free city walking tours available in Seville (which I would definitely recommend) but if you want to climb the tower to the belfry for the views of...More
