I was unaware of this sculptor prior to visiting this museum. But my eyes have been opened. We first arrived just as they were closing at midday. Luckily we came back and toured the museum at length. The story of Gargallo's life and growth as a sculptor was quite interesting but the highlight was viewing his primary work in the... More

Take time to see the two videos describing the artist and the building itself. Both are well done - and available in English. Staff was very focused in assuring we enjoyed our visit and didn't miss anything interesting, even if they had to just point and repeat due to our limited Spanish comprehension.

Beautiful sculptures in a beautiful house. On a Sunday its even free. Some fabulous examples of his work, very much in the art novo/deco fashion. Temporary exhibition in the basement rooms totally different from the main permenant display, which was good.

As so many other people have testified, this is a beautifully light and well maintained museum of Gargallo's work, exhibited on four floors and definitely worth a visit. The Spanish take so much care with their museums, very often housing them in interesting or historical buildings and this is no exception. The building itself can be appreciated, even if there... The Pablo Gargallo Museum is wonderful. A lovely collection of work, displayed in the most intelligent and informative way. If you don't know Gargallo, you will discover something new and fascinating, and if you DO know his work, you will be thrilled by what there is to see here, and how it is presented. A must.

The Museo Pablo Gargallo is a terrific museum, perfect for any rainy day where you can easily kill 1-2 hours. Value is terrific - with tickets at about 3EUR. The museum is a couple of levels and walks you through many types of art from Zaragoza, including paintwork through to sculpturing. Staff were also really friendly and could speak reasonably... A fabulous representation of the History of Zaragoza. Only 3 Euros, but maybe we got a special rate because we looked poor. it was mostly in Spanish but we still learned a lot about religious figures we'd heard about but knew no detail. Apparently Zaragoza had been quite a centre of the Middle Ages World - Aragon. Highly recommended place... More
