The beach is very child friendly as it is a sandy beach. Early in the morning the beach is full of people walking their dogs however the beach is very clean. The waves are good for surfers. We visited in November 2016 with air temperatures of 9 degrees and people were swimming in the sea. There is a walk way... More

Beautuful beach! . With nice coffee shops and restaurants nearby facing the beach. Have a nice stroll on the beach front enjoying an ice cream cone. People watching is very popular. It reminds me of the beaches Paya el Sardinero in Santander and Playa La Concha in San Sebastian or even Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. But, this beach... More

Beautiful large beach close to both the old town and the town centre. Very popular with locals and tourists alike, and a great spot to stroll for an hour or so.

Worth strolling along and taking in the view and smelling the Atlantic. Water was a little cold in September, but a nice memory.

We had the good fortune to arrive in glorious sunshine and warmth. The locals flocked to the beaches to swim, surf and sunbathe. The plaza leads to a paved walking path around the coast to great overlooks extending some 5000 meters.

My favourite beach in my favourite town. The only downside: you never know when it´ll start raining. Yet, be brave: the water is warmer when it rains. And its waves are great fun.

Spend the day in gijon and the beach was on the top of the list. It is similar to la concha in SS as far as layout goes but is much smaller and quainter, less people, still beautiful.

This beautiful beach looks like Cobacabana in Brasil. It's wide and its long. The tide is really intense so the beach can change within just a few hours. When it's weekend and sunny weather unfortunately the beach is overcrowded. Otherwise, beautiful!
