The contemporary part is doubly interesting : works of art are great, makes you discover Spanish artists, and the architecture is really superb. The other parts are equally a feast for the eye as they are in old rich houses of the town. Deserves going at least twice !

Takes you on a journey through ages showing the cultural eminence of Ovideo and it's surrounding areas in Spanish art. A fantastic collection

Small but lovely museum with a great collection. Well worth the visit for the El Grecos and the Rubens. Free.

We were becoming a bit jaded about museums, but were passing by on Saturday afternoon and dropped in and were very happy that we did! It was a complete surprise to find an art gallery of this size and quality in a city of this size. And it is completely free! The building itself requires comment. It is a wonderful... More

You've got to spend some hours inside to admire the richness and variety of the paintings. And it's free.

There are three collections from 1600 to modern but the buildings are linked internally now and there are signs from the cathedral so it is easy enough to find now. The art is beautifully displayed and in fine condition; works from the 17th century look bright and fresh. Many of the paintings are huge; I wonder where they were originally... More

The museum consists of 3 buildings and art throughout the centuries. I was delighted to find this museum to bring to life was I was studying at the university. Well worth seeing.

From El Greco to modern art this free museum built into some interesting architecture covered a variety of art styles from an asturias perspective. Given its free it's worth going and spend as much or as little time as you like in ovieto.

What to do on a rainy day in Oviedo? Go to the Museo de Bellas artes. It has just been renovated and it is really worth a visit. In the heart of the city and at walking distance of really good places to eat.

My wife and I visited this museum and enjoyed it very much. The museum is now housed in 3 separate buildings. There were many great works of art and I took photos of all of the artwork that I found beautiful.
