This is hidden jewel in the old town (casco viejo) of Oviedo. Besides the great art collection spread throughout 3 wonderful buildings, the entrance is free. It is a must see for sure. Recommended.

Spread over three interlinked buildings, each with 3 floors, this is really excellent and comprehensive collection of Spanish and Asturian art ranging from medieval to contemporary. Where else could you see El Greco, Gris, Picasso, Goya, Dali and Sorolla for free. Only Velazquez was missing....More

This is well worth a visit if you have any interest in art and culture. Based in the city centre, the unassuming frontage opens out into numerous modern spaces with carefully curated works of art, both contemporary and 'traditional' The space just goes on and...More

I'm very pleased to say that, contrary to usual Spanish expectations, the museum was actually open for a few hours on a Sunday. And very pleased we were... First things first, it's free. But we wouldn't have minded paying for such a treat. The informative...More

The artwork itself is wonderful! Loved the Salvador Dali graphical artwork, very unusual. See once, never...More

But should have told us that via calle Santa Ana a second part is available for wheelchair too. Had to find out myself, by chance. Lots of nice and relevant paintings. For free when with wheelchair.

Impressive collection of early to contemporary Spanish art. Also there were some items on loan from the Prado. Not exactly easy to find. It should be noted that the collection is in 2 buildings and is ONLY connected on the 2nd floor. Also they close...More

Worth visiting Oviedo for, this is a very large and very beautiful museum, full of art spanning the centuries located in three different and connected buildings. So good we went twice. Opens from 11.30-2 and again from 5-8 so you can have a mid cultural...More

Being spoiled for choice in Madrid, I figured I only needed a couple hours to see this one well...and then it keeps going and going with an impressive collection! If I were there again, I'd visit over a couple days to really take in the...More
