I've been in many other cathedrals and this one does not shine compared to others in Europe. It's nice for a 10 minute visit, but do you expect much.

A beautiful church from the outside. A landmark for pilgrims to Santiago de Compostella. Limited hours for visits during the weekend.

A complicated construction. 2 churches in one, different styles. A camara santa, with relics going back to the 8th century. Only ground floor wheelchair accessible.

The cathedral is very nice and with the audio guide you can easily spend one hour around wandering in the treasury room, courtyard, etc. Definitely worth a visit.

I was surprised at how much there was to see during the tour. Self guided information in multiple languages via hand-held speaker. Highlight was the alter and the Sudarium de Oviedo (cloth of Jesus face). Would love to see this when the actual one is...More

If you are in Oviedo seeing the cathedral is close to a must see, simply because it played such a big part in Oviedo's history. There is a 6 euro entrance fee, which includes an audio tour, access to the crypt (not too impressive) and...More
