We enjoyed this review of Basque history, and a temporary exhibition of photos by Louise Dahl-Wolfe, an American fashion photographer. The audioguide is actually free, and admission includes a discount at their pintxos bar up to 4pm. I missed much of the commentary the first...More

Great way to get out of the heat and see a wondrous blend of old and new architecture which will impress you as much as the exhibits. And the Pintxos snacks and cappuccinos were excellent

Interesting, good value for money and an excellent way to spend a wet afternoon. What more can I say?

Tucked away in a corner of the Old Town neighborhood, the modern exterior belies it’s content. Once inside you are connected to a cloister that transports you to old San Sebastian. As you stroll through the museum you are transported through the history, culture, and...More

The municipal museum in an old convent/monastery beautifully converted and added to in a very modern style. Displays of Basque cultural artefacts and activities. Probably the best display was a rather small, fairly modern art collection.

Striking new architecture juxtaposed with the old buildings sets the tone for what's inside. It's a great example of modern exhibition design (with not too much content) but what's there is really interesting and informative for an understanding of what gives the Basque region its...More

The history of the film industry in San Sebastian was fascinating. Both exhibitions (Hitchcock and the black and white 1950 and 1960's fashion industry) were very well presented and hugely enjoyable. The history of the Basque Country was worth a look but little was in...More

Attended primarily for the Hitchcock exhibition. They offer guided tours in Basque and Spanish. The tour guide was engaging and funny and the exhibition was excellent.
