We loved this area of town! Dotted with wonderful (and some high end- Louis Vuitton!) shops, cafes and restaurants. Either side had a personality- the one with cafe's had live music. The other with many commercial stores, and excellent walking access to the castle, basillica and other government buildings. Very central, and beautiful part of Palma.

Good for high end shopping or people watching from a bar/cafe. This is a charming tree lined street in the center of Palma. If you don't want to shop have a few drinks at one of the bar areas - a great place to people watch.

I would call this street rather a walk through site, than an attraction. It's a two way street with a tree covered central pedestrian walking path. It reminds on Barcelona's Rambla on a smaller scale and without souvenir and flower stalls.
On both side of the street are clothes brands, so it's OK for shopping who's interested.

Lovely to walk down, Stylish tree Line Boulevard there's nice little Bars to sit outside and watch the world go. Plenty of High End Fashion Store's and Little Boutiques too. At one end of the Boulevard there's a lovely Fountain in the evening it's lovely to see it lit up, Plus there's A Gorgeous Tapas Bar across the road Called el Neo Gastro Bar just before the Arch Way. We found it nice in the winter as there's no leafs on the tree's so you can really see how beautiful the Architecture is really impressive.

Don't quite understand some of the negative comments. This is a beautiful tree lined pedestrian boulevard in the cathedral district of the city. On a hot summers day it offers welcome shady relief to stroll or sit. You certainly don't have to pay there is plenty of free public seating but also plenty of cafes if so desired.

We walked through the Passeig des Born every day during our stay and stopped for lunch or coffee. The shops are wonderful - the architecture is beautiful and the people watching and activity is the best!

This avenue follows on from the Avinguda D'antoni Maura (also nice) that starts at the marina and stops at the T junction with Avinguda Juame III - a main shopping street - the junction you are on also has eaterie's and heading off to the right (towards the Cathedral) is where you find all the small streets and great restaurants.
It is wide and leafy with plenty of benches, a great place to take rest from the sun, people watch and if it's a day the street traders are there, meander amongst the stalls.

More of a shopping district with local brands like Zara and ElCorte. There are a very few designer shops like LV but no Chanel or Delvaux. There are lots of restaurants here too which we went to and werent that impress by the quality of food.

For more than a century this short, tree-lined promenade has been at the heart of city life; it has witnessed fiestas, countless generations of families enjoying an evening stroll. During the Franco era it was renamed after the dictator, but everyone still called it 'the Born'.

I would ride on a hop-on hop-off bus to make a 2 hours tour of the city. Visit the cathedral. Walk on the streets nearby as this one. Enjoy your stay as much as I lovers mine!

We are coming in at 1:00 on a cruise boat and leaving sadly at 8:00. We can not make our minds up with what to go
and see- I can not do steep walks(knee replacement), and we don't really want to do churches. Any ideas?
