- Ken2 contributionsTerrace Tour.I visited Palma Cathedral and paid for the terrace tour and wasnt disappointed. Stunning views all around and well worth the deal with the entrance to the Cathedral. The climb up isnt for the faint hearted though!Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 24 September 2023
- ToonArmy9Tamworth, United Kingdom81 contributionsPalma CathedralVisited here the other day the cathedral was magnificent the rules with what to wear like tank tops, Hats and Backpacks not allowed to take but when we entered the cathedral the amount off people visiting the place were wearing big straw hats, caps and there was woman with low cut dresses and shorts like daisy duke! 😯 found the entry fee fairly cheap to enter. It’s worth the visit 10/10. The best place park is the underground carpark which is situated opposite the cathedral. Best get there early otherwise you’ll have trouble parking also make sure you pay before leaving as like many I had seen when leaving the underground carpark visitors didn’t know till last minute need to pay.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 7 October 2023
- luvtravel88United States608 contributionsGorgeous Cathedral Worth a VisitThis was a gorgeous Cathedral and well worth the time. You must pre book your tickets if you want to visit and having an audio guide is needed if you want to know what you're seeing. There are no explanatory panels on the walls. If you have an audio guide, it will walk you around the Cathedral in a counter clockwise fashion giving plenty of commentary. It took us a little over an hour to see everything.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 18 October 2023
- MissaeraNew Jersey123 contributionsDefinitely a must-see!!Amazing Cathedral in Majorca! Definitely a must-see! We didn’t have tickets to go inside unfortunately. We were only in Palma for the weekend. But we still enjoyed the cathedral and its surroundings. It’s mesmerizing how it was intricately built. The details of this church is immaculate!Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 23 October 2023
- NorthEastMe999North East England, United Kingdom700 contributionsStunning buildingEntry by timed online ticket. Easy to book and restricts crowds. It is a stunning building and the stained glass is a stand out. Feels like some TLC is needed around the place, although some work was in progress while we were there.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 30 October 2023
- JesstheKitty92 contributionsWell worth the entry feeWe hadn't pre-booked but when we got there, we found an official QR code by the entrance which we scanned and tickets were available for 15 mins later (guess this was because we were at the end of the summer season?). We thought the entrance fee very reasonable for how spectacular the inside was. The stained glass inside was beautiful. Think you can pay for a more expensive ticket if you want to go up on the roof.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 31 October 2023

- World TravellerEaling, United Kingdom528 contributionsOne of the Famous Monuments of the MediterraneanDecided to take a visit to the famous cathedral in Palma Majorca. This place is absolutely stunning, built in the 13th century, and possibly is one of the tallest cathedrals in Europe today. Prices are reasonable, €9.00 euro per person or guided tour, which is €25.00 euro, but you will probably have to book in advance as they get busy. We chose to do it ourselves and wander around. The cathedral is closed on a Sunday but opens every day from 10.am. - 3.15 pm, although it closes as 2.15 on a Saturday. Well, it's worth a visit.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 23 November 2023

- Susan PRutland, United Kingdom126 contributionsDone miss this amazing architectural gem! What a stunning cathedral… it’s taken 6 trips to Palma to actually manage to get to inside!!! Can’t believe it’s taken me so long. But it does close quite early so make sure you leave good time. What a fabulous visit. Not expensive (don’t forget student ID if your young person is at uni or school, and cash is less than card payment) and good disabled access, if you need that. All signs/ descriptions also in English (obv Spanish and also German) and very interesting. We visit a lot of buildings of interest wherever we travel and we were saying after our visit that this is the first religious building where we feel we’ve actually really learnt something about religion without realising… ie, it wasn’t lectured or prescriptive! Just interesting… The Museum of Sacred Art entrance fee is included in the cathedral entry fee and do make a visit there. Even if the art isn’t your cup of tea, the building is beautiful with an amazing views over the bay. Enjoy the visit…Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 14 December 2023

Most important attraction in Majorca, we unfortunately did not book a tour and we saw a large group there on tour and overheard what they were saying and the explanations and we regretted not booking a guide as there is a lot to learn and see. We took loads of photos, there was a standard small entrance fee, but very worthwhile. Impressive to say the least, and absolutel #1 thing to see in Mallorca.

I would highly recommend coming, this is one of the most beautiful architectural strictures I have seen. You can take a step back in time and really see and feel the history. Located on a beautiful hill overlooking the ocean this is a must experience. Make sure to bring a mask and proper clothing as it is a closed church.

The cathedral is open until 1415 for tourists and is worth getting to early to avoid the coach parties. This is a medieval cathedral on the site of the old mosque that has evolved over the centuries. Particularly worth seeing is the Gaudi designed chapel which is a masterpiece. Coming early in the morning the light streams through the wonder east facing high altar stained glass window.

A visit to Palma can't be completed without exploring this beautiful cathedral. You can spend a beautiful afternoon in this cathedral and surrounding area. A walk around the cathedral will make you fall in love with it as views of the city will capture your eyes and you would not want to move away from that place. Also it's quite worthy to visit during low season. Overall its an amazing place to be. There will be a long queue for the tickets so make sure to arrive early in the morning if you want to go inside.

The cathedral is soaring with rows of stained glass and a Gaudi chapel. Well worth a visit and grander than you'd expect for a church not on the mainland. Unfortunately the opening hours are very short - closes by early afternoon.

A must when visiting the city. Had read very positive reviews online, and is true to say it is definitely worth a trip to see the Cathedral.
We decided to visit on a day when the weather was particularly unpleasant. We arrived soon after opening as had read the entry queues can be quite lengthy, we only has to wait around 10 minutes. Nice friendly staff upon arrival, at the time of our visit entry was 8 euros. It is worth the money. You can make the trip as long or short as required and you are given the option to purchase an audio guide. Our stay lasted around 40 minutes.
Beautiful architecture and attention to detail throughout the cathedral, the grandeur is very impressive.
A nice selection f items to purchase in the gift shop also

Whatever your religioos beliefs, even if you have none, walk around the Cathedral and wonder at the archiecture and fine art on display here. The atmosphere is palpable and something of interest around every turn. Take the double-decker tour from outside. 45-50 minutes will show you parts of the city you would never see otherwise.

Beautiful from our first accidental sighting through the hours we spent in and on it.
We parked the car at park de la mar and when walking out were greeted with a immaculate view of the cathedral.
Later in the day we toured the inside and took time to absorb the magnificence of the stained glass windows powering out the full gamut of colours in the intense Balearic sunlight.
I recommend spending the extra euros to go up to the roof and explore the architecture and the views across the city and the sea.
One of the best cathedrals we have visited.

Great place to see but get there before the hoards descend from the cruise ships. It gets busy and because they’re on a time schedule, they are all impatient and have no time to wait and view things. Instead push in front, moan to take a picture and then move on.
Also research more about the Terraces before you book them. These are roof terraces and accessed via the 150+ steps up a narrow spiral stair case. Also if you suffer with vertigo think twice. Once you have climbed the stairs and are at roof height you will exit via a 3 foot walkway area, then down a short slope to the main building terrace. The sides of the walkway area has a fence or rail along it but also has clear a view down, as they have used a netting/mesh fencing for “security “ on the sides. It’s not the safety aspect but just the very openness of that view down.
Also paying €11 not to know about these points is very poor. The steps, if unfit or immobile (you’ll just hold crowds of people up) and the vertigo inducing feeling once up on the roof.
That said, for everyone else the views are great….per the pictures my wife showed me.
Would I recommend it, yes. Is it cheap, no.

Really worth a visit and absolutely beautiful, if you book a terraces ticket, it’s not at all clear on the website or when you arrive that there’s a VERY long winding narrow climb up hundreds of steps to get up there. U need to be fit! It should be made clearer so wanted to put this review to make people aware. Views are amazing and worth it but the tickets are very expensive for the terraces so if you’re in a budget consider getting the cheaper tickets for just the cathedral which is beautiful and then get the bus up to Bellver castle which has equally good views of the city.

Is the 80 steps to the cathedral de Mallorca cobblestone street steps or steps UP to the cathedral from street?
Written 17 March 2023
Hi, There are a few options to enter the cathedral, mostly flat as you can come by either side or the old town behind. If you are on the seafront there are several steps to reach the cathedral.

Hi
Which tickets should I purchase -
Cathedral + Terraces or Cathedral + MASM?
Thank you

We only purchased the Cathedral & Terrace tickets after reading reviews and it been an hour stop gap in our day, although if you wish to see the museum then you will need the Cathedral & masm tickets. We didnt book in advance but do turn up early and get in the queue to ensure a visit inside

Merci
