A very small collection on display of modern art, most of it of not very known Spanish artists. Some lovely pieces by Tapiès and Chillida and a good sample of Spanish modern art. Not really worth a visit, unless to have a break from shopping or the heat or cold.

This is a must see that most tourists seem to be missing as we were some of the only people in the entire museum. The building interior is absolutely gorgeous from mosaics to a world class atrium and stairwell. The art installations in over 20 galleries are cutting edge and fantastic. It’s a must see.

We couldn’t believe that this is free to look around. Housing some fantastic pieces of art. The house itself has been renovated and is now a mix of modern and traditional Spanish flair. What a treasure, if you are interested in art, don’t miss it.

We were so happy to find this beautiful exhibition space. The quality of paintings was superb and we loved our time spent here. If you are keen on art make time to come here when in Palma, you won't be disappointed! The building is very nice too.

I really appreciate a well-curated, smaller art museum, and this is a gem. Very strong collection, and I enjoyed the mansion as well, which is a modern take on a traditional Mallorcan townhouse. Oh, and it's free, too. So there's that. If you have any appreciation for art, go.

We would not consider coming to Palma without visiting this gallery with its superb collection. The building is attractive, it is free and the works have a coherence being modernist mainly Spanish abstract avant garde, There is a shop on the ground floor and two floors of exhibits which are both well presented and labelled. Forget the hastily painted 'pop up' galleries with passing fad exhibits which jump on the bandwagon of Palma's Nit de l'Art 'extravaganza'.... and enjoy the delights of this permanent modern gallery.

Came for a visit with my two friends, my 3 year old and my friend's disabled wheelchair bound daughter. On arrival Antonio grumpily showed us the lift and didn't give any instruction on which floor to go to, or any help at all for that matter. We had the notion from him that we were a hinderance. We got off on the second floor and within minutes Antonio (miserable looking man , dark hair and glasses) ran upstairs like a psychopath and shouted at my daughter for touching the paintings, of which She didn't as I always have my eye on her and always make sure She is not touching anything. My friends and I were so shocked to see such horrible treatment that We immediately left as We felt so unwelcome. I went downstairs and told Antonio that his behaviour was unacceptable and had really scared us all. He just shouted back at me (very unprofessional) and told me this is private gallery. I could not stay any longer and we all left. This does not even deserve 1 star.

The museum of Fundacion Juan March located in one of the most busy, touristy strets of Palma is a fantastic surprise. You may be forgiven for not noticing the entrance in the myriad of people passing by, but once you are inside the house, in the lobby, you are struck by the cool temperature, the calmness and the utter beauty of the walls, the floors, the staircase, the ceiling. You pay no entrance fee to enjoy the two floors of primarily Spanish artists, from the 1930s and onwards. Fantastic paintings and some pretty awesome sculptures. Contrary to many other big museums where you quickly lose your way and miss out on a lot, here, arrows n the floor will guide you in the right direction. I visit this museum every time I am in Palma, and am never disappointed.

What a treat! Just off Plaza Mayor is this art gallery. Once a beautiful residence it now houses several galleries of modern Spanish art and it's free to enter. A beautiful staircase leads to two floors with room after room of painting and sculptures. Unlike many art galleries natural light fills the rooms so no need to squint and no fenced off access to exhibits either. You can get up close to study the materials and techniques. There works by Dali and Miro. The ground floor shop sells a good variety of souvenirs and the posters are very reasonably priced and in some cases downright cheap(€3 anybody?). Thoroughly recommended.
