This attractive building at Betancuria is giving itself airs, calling itself a cathedral; the truth is that a previous building on the site was cathedral for a few years in the 15th century. It houses an interesting museum of church furnishings, for which the entry fee is small, but it is marginal whether it is still used as a church... More

This is a delightful church in the setting of the Parque Rural. I am not a religious type but this old old church is really worth a visit whilst in this spectacular part of the island. Stunningly beautiful.

What was very surprising about this small church was its simplicity. No flashy gilded bits, just a pleasant place to worship. Quiet and effective.

A simple, historic building, placed in the central square of Betancuria, surrounded by sympathetically restored buildings. The church is well lit to show off its best features without being too obvious. It has a spacious, uncluttered feel, with a stunning altar, the ceilings and a rear balcony as its main features. Well worth a look if you are in the... More

This church is small and tucked away in an old historic town in an inland area of fuerteventura. However it is beautiful and well worth a visit. Entry fee of 1.50. A very pretty little church in a very old traditional square in a very traditional canarian village. Hard to believe this was once the capital of the island !... More

Lots of history in this old church and you will have to pay 1.5 euros to see it. The walls, roof, pictures and sculptures are worth taking time over to study

A small admission fee, but free for kids. Well worth a visit if you're in the area. The church has a lot of move and old paintings, clothes and other historic artifacts.
