The theater is in the last years renovated. Small but very nice. The frescos of the painter Nestor are beautiful. Unfortunately there are not too much performances.

We went on a day time guided tour of the building given in English by the very knowledgeable Janice. Seeing the building when empty you can fully appreciate the architecture. We were taken both front and back stage. We were given a great insight into the history of the building as well as learning about Nestor, who painted some wonderful... More

The "Pérez Galdós" is the most important theatre in Las Palmas de G.C. It´s located at the end of the main street of Triana. This old-fashioned building shows a neoclassical style and recently, it´s been restored. You can see different productions (opera, concerts, plays, ...) in this emblematic theatre. If you´re near Vegueta, you must visit it.

Perez Galdos has a touch of the old, but has recently been re-vamped to incorporate up to date acoustics and all the mod cons necessary to make it a world class concert venue. It's concerts and opera productions are excellent, and it is perfectly placed in the delightful Las Palmas neighbourhood of Vegueta with its narrow streets and 18th century... More

Great looking theatre. We have been there three times, twice in musical and once in opera. Abba song in spanish was different experience.

Well-kept theatre with a lift to the upper floors. Rather steeply raked. Seats in the stalls behind each other rather than stepped so it's difficult to see ahead. Seats are comfortable, the theatre is air-conditioned, there's an orchestra pit so suitable for opera. The side boxes and amphitheatre side seats don't have much of a view of the stage. This... We've been to the Teatro Perez Galdos twice so far for the opera. In the past, it has had terrific seasons, but "la crisi" seems to have bitten and this coming season is quite short with indications that 2013 will be even worse. Pity, because they field some excellent singers and the Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria plays for all... More

The theatre Pérez Galdós has been for ages the main theatre in Las Palmas. It´s situated in one of the best places in town, between Vegueta and Triana (the two main parts of old Las Palmas), very close to the sea and just in front of the Vegueta Market. Two reasons for not missing a visit to Teatro Pérez Galdós:... More
