Overview
More
Located 400 metres high, on the Risco de Famara, the Mirador del Río is one of César Manrique's most representative architectural creations as it shows a series of artistic and architectural details and his eagerness to combine art and nature. It is located near the remains of an ancient military base that dates back to the end of the 19th Century. It is camouflaged on the rock in a way in which only a genius of Manrique's magnitude could conceive.

We went here on a fairly sunny afternoon and the views are spectacular. Under 5€ so not to bad, the staff are friendly and speak good English. We had a car for our trip but you can book a coach trip

Worth a trip here but feel €4.50 per person quite expensive. Views are stunning and you can really see the force of nature from this height. Coffee snack bar and gift shop all available.

You won't spend much time in here, but the views are definitely worth a trip. You can see Graciosa island from here and marvel at the stunning coastline.

The Mirador is one of several facilities on the island that was designed by artist Cesar Manrique and has a very consistent architecture with the others - an architecture that blends in with the environment. Wonderful views of a small offshore island... and more islands...More
