Located 400 metres high, on the Risco de Famara, the Mirador del Río is one of César Manrique's most representative architectural creations as it shows a series of artistic and architectural details and his eagerness to combine art and nature. It is located near the remains of an ancient military base that dates back to the end of the 19th Century. It is camouflaged on the rock in a way in which only a genius of Manrique's magnitude could conceive.

It doesn't take long to complete a visit but the time spent is quality time if you appreciate an extraordinary vista. Perched high above the northernmost point of Lanzarote the viewing area provides a photo-friendly panarama if La Graciosa and beyond. A view not to be missed !

Nothing much here except stunning views a shop and a bar. Not worth 6 euros per adult entrance fee when you can see more or less the same views from mirador Del guinate for free. If your in a car take the road from mirador Del rio to Haria via guinate for stunning views and many hairpins drive to the... More

You get a great view from up here, but by walking down the road a little you get a pretty amazing view for free. After a day off paying for attractions, 4.50 is quite a lot to take a nice picture. There is a large gravel car park on the right when you arrive, but keep going to the top... More

The views from this location are amazing. Another of Cesar Manriques designs. Can't believe how they managed to build the viewing platform and cafe. The drop into the sea is hundreds of feet. You can see the islands off the north coast of Lanzarote from the platform and the cliffs are really something.

At the height of 500 meters you have great views to the North, eg. to the island of Gracioca. But maybe even more interesting is the construction and the interior of the place, designed by Cesar Manrique. Found the location very stylish and enjoyed a glass of wine and the view in the restaurant.

We went to the mirador thinking it was the regular view point where you stand on a windy spot at the top of a mountain. The fact that you have to pay for it to go in put me off, so we left without going in. However, as we drove past it on the road and looked at the view,... More

This is no doubt a beautiful building in a stunning setting - however, you can get just as good views (nearly) from the roadside outside_ and it's a tad overpriced

The mirador is a spectacular building by Cesar Manrique designed specifically to view Isla Graciosa. Not on our visit, dense swirling fog drifted across the mountain yet the whole visitor experience was wonderful. The interior spaces are very dramatic, there's good access, toilets and a very good cafe. You can walk outside on a path perched on the cliff edge.

Had a drive up here to see what all the fuss is about Wow an experience not to be missed and what a view. The building designed by Cesar Manrique is stunning with his quirky features lots of photo snapping but just stand outside and take a few minutes digesting the views. We had a coffee sat near the massive... More
