We decided to have a look around here (it's not too far from Teguise - about 10kms) and were not disappointed! The beach itself is I think the longest on Lanzarote but must be one of the most scenic we've ever seen. Although it was...More

Never bee here before and my sister decided to bring my friend and I here for the day. It was lovely and tranquil and was great just to walk through the water and the waves whilst watching the surfers. Couldn't believe this beach was so...More

The beach is the highlight of Famara. It is ideal for longs walk. There is a nice sea breeze to keep you cool. The breeze is also popular with the many kite surfers. I'd like to return here in the winter to check out the...More

What a great long beach of 6 km. And with a very nice mountain to look at. The village is really friendly and has some nice restaurants. It is one of the best places for surf and kitesurfers

Did a run passing Famara and Famara beach heading north via Famara Beach to side of mountain/cliff hike. Awesome views and nice sandy beach always very windy and big waves - believe it is fantastic for surfers.

Labeled as surfer beach, but we went there for a quick swim. Quite strong current and high waves make it an more interesting and unusual swim. There is a road where you can park the car nearby free of charge.

It is VERY remote and you would probably be better hiring a cheap car for a couple of days then at least you can explore the rest of the North of the island.
