We drove through the park to the volcano. The road aren't the best as there are potholes, it was easily manageable and a very good drive. Driving the TF 38 was amazing as we could see the environment change as we drove up. Arid to pine forest to less trees and more rocks to rocks to volcanic lava rocks.

One of the coolest things to do on Tenerife. Absolutely stunning landscape. We drove through the park as the sun was rising and the experience was jaw-dropping. Forget water parks and zoos: staring at the El Teide volcano, the third highest in the world, and being above the clouds is an incredible experience - and it's free!

Went on a jeep safari around the National park and saw Mt Teide. This was a very interesting trip with spectacular views. A must to do. At one point we were above the clouds and it was hot at the top.

The third highest Volcano in the world and the highest point in the Atlantic, sits above the clouds. Beautiful landscape - harsh, alien but magnificent. Awesome place to learn about geology, geography, and bird watching,

We took a tour and drove for a while around windy roads climbing to the top of the National Park (2600 meters). The guide was very informative and we learnt things for the first time about volcanoes. The different rock formations and types were explained and its like going to another planer. Loved it and hope you do to

At first the National Park just looks like a lot of rock with some cacti, but once you get into it you realise how special it really is. I took route 19 from the cable car to the National Park centre. It is a long walk, but you get to see the difference in rock deposits caused by the volcanic... More

Lovely landscape with great views of Mt Teide and over the rest of the island. It gets very very hot in summer, with little shaded spots, but if you go prepared there is nothing to worry about. There are lots of different walks you can do, and lots of different plants, flowers and island views to see. Would recommend a... More

I heard about Teide National Park and it’s volcano for many years and my main objective to visit Tenerife was to see this park and volcano. After doing a lot of research in various web sites, I found that there were only 2 alternatives- 1.Conducted trip by Bus 2. By own arrangement. However if I want to go to the... More

We rented a car and drove up through to the park, from Santiago del Teide to La Laguna. Spectacular views and nature the whole day. I strongly recommend to go here. It was quite windy this high, so take an extra sweater with you, and reserve the whole day so you don't have to hurry.
