Two structures dominate Toledo's skyline as you approach the city from below: The Alcázar of Toledo and the spire of the Cathedral of St. Mary. The Cathedral (the lower of the two landmarks) dates to the 13th Century and is basically intact, along with the modifications since the 13th Century. The Alcazar's impressive building (originally a castle) now a library/museum... More

This place dominates the skyline so you will be able to see it from everywhere. If you want to see inside then you will have to visit the museum inside.

This is the best view one can have of the whole city of Toledo without the crowds and without having to hike through the winding roads.. From the topmost floor of the Alacazar Library Building it is simply breathtaking!

This place offers you the best views of Toledo for FREE. Take the lift to the "cafeteria" level for stunning views, enjoy a coffee and snacks. Popular with locals, a real gem.

Newly remodeled and professional exhibitions. Allow 1 to 2 hours, but the layout of the building was confusing for the audio guide to follow.

Toledo is a fantastic place to visit. The alcazar sits at the top the city with a fantastic view of the surrounding area. It is a great place to end up as you wind your way up the hill through the city.

It looks at you from the top of a hill. It was the Alcazar that has been turned to a librerary, unfortunately I didn"t have time to visit it but I'm sure it worth it!

The palace is closed to the public, because workers are on strike - and have been for three months, and there is no sign that the strike is going to end soon. So you are left to see the Military museum that adjoins the Alcazar. There is very little to see, a helicopter, some swords and two cars.

We visited Toledo only to find the Alcazar closed due to strikes and other restorative works. Shame as it sits on the highest part of Toledo and the views are stunning.

Before reaching Toledo you must have a stop at Mirador and admire the beautiful buildings of Alcazar. This fortress which was once used as a Roman palace in the third century is located in the highest part outside the city of Toledo. It was a pity we could not be so near to this magnificent buildings. We could admire it... More
