this is more of the military museum covering spanish history and their victories in battlefield etc. Might be interesting for Spanish people but not of much interest to foreigners

Everything about the Alcazar is impressive. We spent a lot of time here and could have spent even more.

Dominating the Toledo skyline, this place is a must visit for all. So much to see inside you need to give yourslf plenty time to stroll around all the exhibits detailing so much of the history of Spain.

Located high on the hill overlooking Toledo, this largely reconstructed building is still impressive. The museum itself is entered from one of the streets below and the exhibits are on the various levels of the Alcazar - accessed via steps, or elevator. The view from...More

This museum is so amazing and it should be one of your first stops in town. I love military history and this spot did not disappoint. A real interesting journey.

This building dominates the skyline of Toledo as you walk from the train station. In the 3rd century, it was used as a Roman palace. During the 1540s, it was restored by Charles I and his son, Philip II. Today it houses the library and...More

The old library in the Alcazar can only be visited upon appointment. The modern library has a cafetaria. From the windows there are some excellent views over the city of Toledo. Free entry just around the corner of the military museum.
