The highlight of this palace are the paintings by El Greco (inside the chapel); but don't miss the guided tour (included in the entrance fee) of the rest of the building. The library seems to be like taken out of a Harry Potter's movie (Hogwarts). You can see original furniture, paintings, tapestry, etc. You will get the site all for... More

Had the palace to myself and had a personal tour - It is outside the city walls and hence off the main route. Amazing art - and interesting history The 15th/16th Cent. Pharmacy is a rare collection - One of only a handful in Europe. The El Greco paintings in the sacristy are also well worth the walk out of... More

We had this place to ourselves and did the guided tour on our own. It is outside the city walls so gets missed by most people. The building is very striking and it has a long history, being owned by the same family. It was built as a hospital for the poor and is now a museum. There is a... More

This 16C Renaissance building has a large columned courtyard and the buildings house painting by Titian, Tintoretto, El Greco, and some stunning tapestries! The old pharmacy has a large collection of Talavera ceramic containers. Allow 90 to 20 minutes to get the full feel of this beautiful building.

A grand building which was once a free hospital for all as also at times a family home. The Chapel, library and Pharmacy are interesting also. Not to be missed when in Toledo.

While you are in Toledo it is worth to take the guided tour and visit this place. The hospital is turned to a museum for the mid centuries era.

I went there to see El Greco's paintings because there are several places in Toledo where there are his paintings. They were remarkable in the church. The ticket included as well 45 minutes Tour in the old hospital. The last owner had lived there and we could see his private rooms. Lots of art and old furniture and as well... More

Visited mid afternoon and we were able to take the guided tour joined only by 2 others Most interesting was the pharmacy and a couple of old tapestries,Flemish 17thC that were stunning. The El Greco paintings, originals, are without doubt worth a visit even if nothing else is seen. Good architecture also .

A very interesting guided tour gave a good insight into the building and there was plenty of time to look around and enjoy more El Greco. Worth a visit!

I was here several years ago and got to see the crypt, which has the most fascinating acoustics. Visiting in February 2016, I learned that the new owner of the building has decided to close the crypt to the public, which seems silly. Worth a visit, but I would only come here if you have more than one day to... More
