I feel a little mean at the 3 star review - it is probably 3 and a half! The museum entrance is in the square opposite the University entrance and you cross a small garden (with archaeological remains) to enter the museum which is located...More

Less known place to visit but nevertheless beautiful and worth the visit if you have a spare half hour or so!

I recommend to visit the museum on a rainy day when there's nothing better to do. It is an average town museum, nothing really exceptional, however, there are some great sculptures in the patio and some interesting pieces of contemporary art.

We dropped in here, partly because it was free at weekends and partly because we were intending to see all the various city museums during this trip. At other times, it's only €1.20, so it's always worth a quick visit. It's in a lovely building...More
