Good photo spot
May 2021 • Friends
There is no river here but the bridge is very wide and not so long and from the other side you get a nice view of the old town, becoming one of the best photo spots of Salamanca for a portrait! Short visit.

Lovely place in warm weather
May 2021
I love going to this place on spring afternoons: grass, water and sun is all you need! I enjoy going by myself with just a good book, or also hanging out there with friends.
This is definitely one of my favourite places in Salamanca, specially with warm weather!

It stood thousand years
Apr 2021
It stood thousand years. With the neglect it is going through now, it might not stand another ten years.

Strolling in the evening over 2000 years of History
Sep 2020
This Roman bridge was originally built be Legionnaires and then upgraded in the Middle Ages. It spans the river with a length of about 270 metres. Its wide and long and people use it for a paseo after a meal, walk along the bridge to visit the pathways along the river, or just walk along the bridge to admire the history - safe, very friendly and free!

Good Photo Spot
Dec 2019
The bridge is a good place to take photos of the cathedral.
It acts as a starting point to the old town.

Great place to go for a afternoon or evening stroll, good spot to take photos.
Could be a great place to get sunrise or sunset photos.

Well Preserved Landmark

This is a beautifully preserved old Roman bridge. It is fully functional and great to look at during night when it is lit up.

Old historic bridge
Jan 2020
There are many remaining Roman bridges in Europe, including this one. It might not be the most beautiful or most interesting, but it is cerainly worth a visit, if only for the view of the old City, especially at sunset.

This bridge is a road to the past. Over a beaufiful river crossing Salamanca, the view of the Cathedral and the old city makes this place a must to visit in Salamanca

Fun
Oct 2019 • Couples
This beautifully preserved Roman bridge wasn’t far from our hotel. It is a pedestrian only bridge that spans a river. It’s in a huge park setting in a rather wild area. Many people were enjoying a walk or bike ride over it. It’s definitely a good place for a dramatic photo.
