As we walked to (through) the Plaza, we were blocked off on 2 sides. They were shooting a movie about the Spanish Civil War. Neat!

It was a pleasant surprise to enter this square which has a restaurant strip. It is not too dissimilar to Venice's St Mark's Square without the water. We only wanted a light lunch and this we had and enjoyed. Nice ambience in the square and...More

Very busy by day. Wait until dark to enjoy the illuminated facades and have a nice walk among the group if students that dance and sing in small groups.

Kind of non inspiring. Just people and buildings. Not very inspirational. But it seems to be the hub of the old city and point of reference.

Whilst in Salamanca I keep finding myself drawn back here. Whether it was the beautiful architecture or the plethora of restaurants and bars I’m not sure but this really is a superb location to visit.
