I did pass the House of Points almost daily whilst in Segovia but am hardly surprised it has only had 5 reviews. Until I read one of them after my trip, I wouldn't have known you could even get inside. Externally it presents a defensive "keep out" character and barely gets mentioned in several leading guidebooks, none of which mention... More

Picos means pointed stones and that is what the entire facade is dotted with. the stones act like an armor of sorts.

The Casa de los Picos is the most famous palace in Segovia. What is interesting is that its façade is covered by granite blocks carved into diamond-shapes. The effect is quite interesting and this is probably the best known palace in the town.

This building is located halfway between Plaza Mayor and aqueduct. It has an unusual facade and hosts exhibitions (explanation was in Spanish only) inside the building. Entrance is free. But quick look from outside may be just enough.
