This excellent little museum is free on Wednesdays. It’s a former Royal Mint dating back to the 16th century, and has recently had a lot of money spent on its restoration – a great little irony, methinks. Its layout has been carefully considered, and we...More

Good displays and exhibits tracing the making of coins in the recently refurbished mint. Plenty of information in English so the audio guide isn't essential. I particularly liked the working replicas and outside water wheels. There is also a secluded garden and an exhibition about...More

A beautifully restored gem of industrial history. Great exhibition with good videos and audio guide. Wish I had allowed more time - you need 1 1/2 at least. Aqueduct interpretation centre is included and is excellent.

Had a lovely walk down from the old town and the Royal Mint has been beautifully restored. The museum was excellent and the exhibits well laid out. Helpful having the audio phones. Also enjoyed the display on the Aquaduct.

This is what I would consider a sort of "specialty" museum. The buildings are lovely and well-maintained. The display of coin-minting machinery is impressive and the location along the river is beautiful. If this is an area of interest for you, you should check it...More

On our last day we decided to visit this museum, I only wish I used the time to go elsewhere. I love museums but this isn't one in my opinion. The building has history for what it is and probably doesn't deserve to disappear in...More

We spotted these buildings from the heights of the Alcazar yesterday so headed down there on foot along a leafy pathway today. Only a few visitors and were we warmly welcomed by the staff. The restored buildings were the Royal Mint of Spain and we...More
