Wasn't sure how easy it would be to get here - no car and staying in Segovia - but the bus cost a paltry 1.40 Euros and the drivers very helpful. Booked an English guided tour and this was well worth it - only two of us and plenty of time to get more specific and have questions answered in... More

Smaller does not mean less marvelous but the greatness more concentrated only. We really enjoyed the visit and all the palace reminds the French palace that actually was the desire of the Spaniard emperor wanted to recreate in Spain. All art and taste included in the design gives you the most incredible picture of that age. Nice places to have... More

My husband and I decided to visit on our way back to Madrid from Avila- I am pretty sure we were the only ones there! If this Palace was in the states- it would be swarmed with visitors!!! Each room was absolutely gorgeous! Take the time if you are in the Segovia area and visit this gem. It's situated right... More

Remember, mondays are when museums and palaces are closed. Other than that, great overlooked palace in the sierra mountains. not to be missed are the majestic fountains in the french garden behind the palace. They run on a crazy schedule, so check the website in summer. curious ones will be rewarded with a short hike up the hill to the... More

Parking is a bit of a challenge in the area and if you have seen palaces in Europe this is pretty but small. However, with the gardens and if you take time to explore the town, you have a full day's outing to enjoy.

The whole atmosphere in the park is magic it is also well preserved and totally free. Went there one a sunny day of autumn. Check the sequoias all around you. They might be 300 years old!

We were told about this place by friends who had been in the summer when they were lucky enough to visit when the fountains were operating. There is free parking leading up to the Palace, and a free separate car park a few 100 mtrs from the gate on the roundabout. Lovely tree lined approach, to the Palace -charges apply... More

We made this an afternoon day trip while staying at Segovia. The bus leaves quite frequently, every 45 minutes during much of the day. We chose to have a light, "carry on" lunch which we ate at a park bench once we arrived, so we did not have to worry about finding a restaurant until supper. The palace is not... More

A beautiful Palace. The grounds are gorgeous and you can walk around for free. Fountain after fountain awaits, it's truly wonderful. With the mountains as a backdrop, this Palace definitely has the 'wow' factor. The only disappointing thing was to learn that the fountains are only turned on once a year in July. However, the statues in the fountains more... More
