Park Guell is one of the masterpieces of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900. Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, reconizing its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. This playful urban park, the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, features peaceful greens, winding paths and many sculptures and mosaics designed by Gaudi himself.

We recommend the following options for ensuring that you arrive on time at the Park Guell Monument Precinct:

- Metro (green line, get off at Lesseps or Vallcarca). When you leave the station, you’ll have a walk of about 20-25 minutes.

- City bus (lines H6 and 32). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 15 minutes.

- City bus (lines 92 and 24). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 5 minutes.

- Barcelona City Tour and Bus Turistic. When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 10 minutes.

- Taxi to Park Guell (Carretera del Carmel or Calle de Marianao)

The line to be admitted into the inside of the park was over one hour long. We opted to NOT go inside the park but thoroughly enjoyed walking all around the park. It was still a good hour long walk. Very hilly - we you reached the top of the park the view of the city and the harbor were... More

Not sure what to say about this. Only 7 euros to go in the monumental park - a must but pre book in line! - so defo worth a look. However if like me you don't quite "get" Goudi then it's ok with lovely views over the city. However my partner does "get" Goudi and therefore loved the park and... More

We visited Park Guell with advance tickets (highly recommended). We decided to take the metro out and then walk - the surrounding area is extremely hilly and difficult to navigate even with GPS. Be very careful which metro stops you exit from. Look for signs or helpful locals (seemed to be many of them thankfully!). The park itself is a... More

Great to walk round, head to the very top for the best view, there are escalators on certain streets as they are very steep! Didn't pay to go to the mosaic wall but still had a great time.

Disappointed with the park, we thought there would be more sculptures. Gaudier house is well worth a visit. It isn't in the park so there is an extra cost .

great place to visit, just don't forget to book tickets in advance otherwise you need to wait for ours to see the monument. The park itself is free of charge.

We went earlier in the day, so we avoided queuing for our tickets. Part of the park is a free area, which is a very enjoyable space, but the highlights are worth the entrance fee. I'm not surprised that it is so popular as it's a fascinating park full of colours and shapes, like I have not experienced before. Wonderful... More

I love this park, the art and the history is very appealing to me. The View of the city and the great gardens and green areas are the best to have a walk and relax looking at art and history. Recommended to everyone.
