This has a tiny collection of Tapies objects, I was surprised it was called the Fundacio Antoni Tapies, I would have liked more Tapies! I think there was probably less than 20 of of his conceptual art pieces in the basement, spread over two rooms...More

What a big disappointment! Tapies being one of the greatest Catalan international artist and his own Foundation doesn't honour him. A great building with a great space to hold exhibitions but some how the current one didn't impress me at all. Got the feeling they...More

Seen it I was 2015. Definitely worth going there. Tapies was local artist and you can have great opportunity to see it here. Good luck place if you are in Barcelona or 2nd or 3rd time.

This was the worst museum we have ever visited in Europe and we've been to many. One of the exhibits was two floors of postcards glued to the walls. That's it! On the third floor there was an exhibit of household junk stacked together. We...More

A somewhat interesting space, with the Tapies pieces being in the basement and on the second floor and a temporary exhibit on the main floor. Found the temporary exhibit somewhat meh, but liked the Tapies pieces, just wish there were more of them. Want to...More

Antoni Tapies was a radical twentieth century artist. The lovely space is devoted to art and art education.

Imagine the Picasso or the Miro museums in Barcelona having exhibitions almost without works by the artist. But that was the case with works by AT at our visit (Oct 8). Such an exhibition policy is very hard to understand. Why not show at least...More

Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you
enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally
translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes
recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant
atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district,
Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end
international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the
glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best
