Can't say enough good about this class. It was so good that it finally spurred me on to write my first review of somewhere from my travels. My girlfriend and I decided to take a cooking class while in Barcelona and on the back of reading the TripAdvisor reviews we chose to attend the Tapas cooking class with Barcelona Cooking.... More

I did the cooking class on 23 December. Chef Lalo took us through the Boqueria market first and along the way gave us a bit of history. In the market he gave a tour of the market at the same time as buying all the ingredients for our cooking class. Back at the cooking class we helped make a delicious... More

Our class, led by Stefano, was well worth our time! The class is suitable for people with very little cooking skill, as well as those with more experience who are looking for an authentic introduction to Catalan cuisine. Stefano was friendly, patient, very good at adapting to our different skill levels, and very informative. One of the best parts of... More

You get to shop for ingredients. You get to cook your own food. You learn from someone who knows about cooking. These are things I look for when I take cooking classes. I don't want to watch someone do it all in front of me. I compared this to other cooking classes in BCN and this was the only one... More

What a great experience. Started by visiting the Boqueria Market (large market off La Rambla) to buy ingredients for the class. Next we were introduced to the menu and recipes for the dishes. There were only 6 in our class, which make it very nice. We each selected a dish to prepare. The grand slam was finishing up the Paella.... More

This was definitely one of our favorite activities my husband and I did on our honeymoon. Food is such a huge part of every culture, and I feel like a cooking class is a perfect way to dive in to a new place. We had a blast with Chef Lalo learning some traditional Spanish dishes, got to hang out with... More

Oh, what fun! Chef Stefano walked the class to the La Boqueria market to collect ingredients for our meal. We prepared, hands on, a full meal, complete with dessert and wine pairings. If you love to cook AND eat, I highly recommend taking a class.

Get ready to experience Barcelona with all five senses. The Boquiera market is an experience all by itself. The tour begins with history of the market and a personalized shopping experience for the required ingredients. The amount of fresh produce and meat is enough to make you never want to leave. The kitchen is setup with views over looking the... More

I strongly recommend to spend a nice morning visiting the market and preparing an excellent typical Spanish lunch. Thanks to the friendly and professional Italian chef !

Staying in La Rambla

Neighbourhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-metre boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetising selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
