Great bar for the fans of the films by Almodovar! Kitsch and glorious, from high heels installed on the ceiling to barbie dolls heads above the main entrance and the underwear hanging next to the portrait of a madonna, this place is truly one of a kind and super eccentric. I needed to go there and my expectations were definitely... More

A friend from Barcelona took us here for my friends birthday. Fun place, cute decor and great drinks. Would definitely go back if I was in town again.

We came here for a friend's birthday cocktails and although the wait outside was long, the bar more than lived up to expectations. I loved the nun/Catholicism theme, the severed barbies' heads, and all of the kitsch decor festooning the bar. The place was packed but cocktails were good, and everyone was very friendly. One particular bride-to-be had us all... More

If you love all things kitsch, flamboyant, OTT and leopard print this is the bar for you. The staff are friendly and welcoming and everyone there seems to be having a great time, it has a lovely feel to the place. Great choice of really tasty cocktails which aren't too expensive, I'd definitely go back for another great night out... More

Fantastic cocktails, great staff and a wonderful atmosphere. Try the gin, pineapple and ginger! We were a given a free taster while we waited at the bar which was delicious so we ordered 2!

Sor Rita has got to be the busiest bar in Barcelona. Decked out in lavish Almodovarean style, leopard skin wall paper and high heel shoes tacked to the ceiling: you can have your tarot read on a Monday, shop in the second hand market on Sundays and buffet it up a notch on Tuesday. Sor Rita is more than a... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
