Intimate & friendly bar
Nov 2014 • Solo
When we first arrived the place was empty, save two young ladies and the owner/bartender. It remained empty throughout the night, but it was a Monday night so it was to be expected. The owner was very sweet and friendly, and the drinks delicious and inexpensive. I could see the vibe in this place changing from quiet to buzzy once it is full. A tip: Andu no longer serves tapas/food.

Awesome bar!

Andu is a great wine bar tucked away in a corner in the gotico. They had some live music as well as friendly staff. Had an interesting conversation with a real life rock star. Nachos were a great thing to share. I also had a couple of bottles of white wine with some fine hunnies that were hanging around. Pretty sure I slept alone but the bar was a great time.

I was in last evening and it was recommended by a friend in London. Loved this place. The service was really friendly and fast. Some friends and i were looking for cocktails and these were excellent. They have tapas and some mexican food. The tacos were very tasty. They have good prices. Going back tonight.

Been here three times now and will be back. The atmosphere is unique offering an awesome tex mex menu, great margaritas and daquiries. They also have a nice wine list. The service is great, wonderful staff. A definite must see! Loved the decor and especially those tacos. Thanks

Have some spirits with your spirits
Apr 2013 • Couples
Hidden away in the twisting streets of the Gothic Quarter, this sprawling Z-shaped wine bar, cocktail bar, and eatery is a cozy bohemian hideaway, ideal for both romantic getaways and large parties. The secret is the massive space: couples coo at the intimate candle-lit tables for two, while groups spread out tasting wines and eating nachos with guacamole at the many long tables tucked away in the back. Sexy lighting, great tunes, and sweet staff--not to mention the fine cocktails and nice selection of wine by the glass--make it popular with locals who drop by en masse or alone to perch at the bar or hole up in a corner and write. But there's more: whether it's because Andù is built over an ancient Roman well or because it's thick with antiques--check out the hanging sousaphone on the back wall--the place is, um, spirited, shall we say. Stay there long enough and you may be convinced that the friendly ghosts are there partying with you.

Fantastic place - a unique find
Apr 2013 • Friends
Found on a quaint street just around the corner from the ruins of the old city walls, this bar is superbly located right in the center of the Barcelona's bar and restaurant scene. Inside you will find Gothic architecture, friendly staff and delicious small dishes to go with your drinks. It is reasonably priced and we will be going back!!!

What a spot! Accidentally stumbled across this place when searching for lunch. We wanted somewhere off Rambla with a bit of different atmosphere and this was it,i found it!*
The concept is quite special and you feel a bit of wonder at the world created within, with the lights settings and furnishing,to me phenomenal.
Staff are fantastic, very friendly and attentive. We have returned twice since and they have welcomed us like friends. Hidden gems indeed.
The menu is loaded fully with cocktails&All you feel to drink in Barcelona atmosphere.
You should try an extensive choice of tapas and a wide variety of national wines.
Full of charm, character and endless history.
It is an absolute and utter find and i would recommend to anyone in Barcelona.

A buried treasure in the Gothic centre

I found this bar quite by accident and have returned many times. Fabulous wine selection, tasty, authentic Spanish cheeses and meats and the best guacamole in Barcelona. A calm, friendly atmosphere, classy music and a really international crowd. You'll meet all kinds of people from locals to expats and tourists.

Stellar Bar in Barcelona's Core
Dec 2012 • Solo
Andu is truly a hidden gem. I've spent numerous occasions here and find that it always caters to the hippest crowd. Great atmosphere and conversation. The cocktail/wine lists are like no other. If your looking to chill out and truly enjoy a great night in the core of Barcelona (but not so much where you find every tourist in town), then don't miss Andu!!
