You can't beat the views on this wall. Walk the whole entire way and you'll enjoy views from many angles. There are some tricky bits of uphill at the start but all else is pretty easy. Don't forget to bring water!

This was a lovely amble for 45 mins or so in the winter sunshine Good view over old Girona and to the hills in the distance. Many steps, up and down.

Neat to walk the walls of the city. Nice vistas and not too long. I recommend starting from the Cathedral side. More of your walk is downhill this way. In parts, the walk is pretty narrow.

Walk on top of the medieval wall for a couple of kilometers, admiring the city from above. It was one of the best things we did in Girona!

After climbing the circular staircase we were awed by the sight of the ancient Romanesque wall. This reminded us of Intramuros, Manila, although Passeig De La Muralla is far more ancient . A sense of reverence for those who built the wall to protect the...More

I recommend to visit this place in winter. The weather is great for a good walk. The city is small with lots of alleys and gardens. The views from the wall are great.

Highly recommend the walk around the old city walls as it gives fantastic views across Girona and beyond. We started at the North, there are some steep sections and steps but overall it is not too difficult. The view from the roof provides great views...More

A view that’s worth the stairs. Be sure to leave time to walk the entire wall. One of the best things in Girona.

Just an immense overwhelming feeling of history when you get to the top of the stairs and see the view and the wall. I was in awe! I had to walk across to the other side as I was so captured by the view! It...More

I would include Besalu. Take the bus from just off the Passeig de Gracia. Take the bus from there to Girona and train back to Barcelona. Very nice day trip.
