We used our hop on hop off inclusive ticket 29E to enter the house. The audio guide was detailed and well produced. It was interesting to imagine Picasso and his family living here, walking and playing in the plaza and making their way through the narrow streets. The paintings and furnishings helped to evoke images of a past era. Perhaps... More

If I didn't know that there was the apartment where Pablo Picasso lived located on this street, I would have passed it a thousand times. Located on a busy street in the city center, this apartment building sits above commercial stores. Yet, it is here, from 1891-1895 that Picasso lived with his family. The apartment (much of it has been... More

......you will love this little apartment. This is such an unusual building to include in a visit to A Coruna, but one that is actually quite memorable. You can almost miss the entrance (it is next to the Picasso shop), open the front door and climb the stairs, ring the bell (quite literally) and there you are, in the apartment... More

This small museum in downtown A Coruna is interesting both because it was an early home of Pablo Picasso and also for its recreation of what bourgeois apartment would be like in late 1800's A Coruna. Picasso lived in this apartment for only three years when his father -- a painter himself -- taught in the city. The museum has... More

We were the only visitors at the time of our visit in early September. We had done some research earlier which was helpful as there was no information in English and the guide that day did not speak English. The small flat was charming and atmospheric and furnished as it would have been in that era. The paintings were by... More

Helps one imagine Picasso's life as a teenager in A Coruna. Also a 'frozen in time' example of the furniture and fittings of a flat then.

Casa Picasso is a small flat on the 2nd floor. You need to call the ring bell downstairs. Pablo Picasso lived here when he was a child. There are some paintings of his father. Open 10:30-14:00/17:30-20:00 Closed on mondays.

Watching an episode by Michael Portillo he inspired me to visit this little museum. The significance of Picasso's period in Coruña is of great importance. Our guide Lorena was so passionate me knowledgable about the life of Pablo Ruiz Picasso, she brought the home to life. Climbing the stairs to the apartment one would be holding onto the same bannister... More

A really enjoyable visit only costing 3 euros for entry. Visit in conjunction with main Picasso Art Gallery for full experience which cost 8 euros and free for kids. Each venue has a handset to assist you with the tour. Paintings and memorabilia from Picasso's childhood including pictures of his parents and his christening gown.
