Thorough history of Gibraltar

Very good value (£2 entrance fee) and thorough history of Gibraltar. Highlights were the Neanderthal section and the Moorish baths. Perfect for a cloudy/rainy day in Gib.

Very little money to enter. Lots of displays showcasing the history of The Rock. The building itself has a number of different levels and a couple of staircases so not all that easy to navigate but worth the effort. The moorish baths in the basement are very interesting and the model of The Rock in one of the top floor... More

This museum has been completely revamped since I was last there. £2 admission is cheap for what you get, lots of interesting facts that I didn't know about the rock before.

The museum is small but very interesting and packed with information about the islands history. Particularly interesting is the Neanderthal exhibits as Gibraltar is a World Heritage site for the Neanderthal remains found in the caves. There is also a model of the island from 1865 which is in tremendous detail and shows the extent of the reclaimed land on... More

This place is proper tucked away on a back street and quite easy to miss. That said it was worth hunting down . We had the place to ourselves and just £2.50 each entry, a bargain. The lady serving us was a little odd but that was party of the quirkiness of this place. There is plenty to see and... More

Fascinating history all about the Rock. The archeological remains in the garden and the old baths are great. Several sections were closed for renovations during my visit unfortunately.

There were some interesting historical and architectural ruins inside the museum, that's why it is tucked away and built where it is. Apart from these, the displayed items were mediocre and nothing out of the ordinary. It is a very small museum, I assume the 2GBP entrance fee is for the maintenance of the ruins.

We went there because it was raining. £2 each to get in. Not a lot to see but still fairly good value.

Although there are major works being carried out when we visited it was still very interesting. Tucked away in one of the streets off Main street well worth searching out.
