good place to visit to find out about the history of Gibraltar, just off Main Street. Fantastic models of Neanderthal people. Inexpensive entry fee. No cafe.

My partner and I spent an interesting hour in the museum. Our knowledge of Gibraltar's past was pretty minimal, so it was good to find out new things - I particularly enjoyed stuff relating to recent history, especially the newsreels from the 1940s and 1950s....More

Low key museum with some interesting tidbits, of which the most interesting are the findings about the Neanderthals, particularly the Neanderthal women. Interesting fact, she was discovered a few years before the discovery in Neanderthal, Germany so we probably should be talking about Gibraltarian, not...More

Please make sure you allow an hour or two to visit this very well organized and run museum. It is well worth the time and effort for only a couple of pounds each. Don't miss the World War 2 news clips or the amazing model...More

I've visited a couple of times over the last three years. Worth going. Fascinating to learn about the history of Gibraltar right up to the recent past. Staff friendly. Displays interestiing.

Our first time in Gib and it's always worth a look at the museum. I found the early newsreel and World War footage fascinating, and that alone was worth the price of the entry. Very good
