Well worth the climb. Go back down via the Charles V Steps. (Only pity they increased the cost from 50p to £5. Was that really necessary?).

I literally cannot believe these 'steps' have such great reviews. As someone who walked around the entire rock twice, walking up and back down and all around, I consider myself to be fairly comfortable with walking and reasonably fit. I was really looking forward to...More

A little bit of a climb so you should be reasonably fit or take it slower. The views are really worth the effort.

I read about the steps in my Lonely Planet guide book then checked in with Trip advisor to see what others said. Based on that feedback, we took a cab to the Jews Gate to start our ascent. The wildflowers in bloom were spectacular! The...More

I have never literally had my breath taken away from a view, but that happened for the fist time here. Absolutely beautiful views all the way around the steps. Make sure you wear good hiking clothes!

Med Steps is the nicest way to see the Rock of Gibraltar. Be warned tough: it's more than 640 steps to climb. So make sure you are reasonable fit and you bring water along. You will be rewarded with amazing views of Gibraltar and the...More

If you don't mind a little walk and tour, if you don't mind to be a little out of your breath sometimes, you should definitely try Meaditerranean steps! It's really steep walk, but short! It's not gonna take you probably more than an hour! You...More

A perfect walk or jog in Unspoiled Mediterranea. Wear suitable walking footwear with grip as there are parts that are slippy with loose stones and uneven ground, including high steps. You’ll see the occasional friendly face as you walk the cliff side trail but it’s...More

A steep climb, but worth it. We did it in the pouring rain! Which I think distracted us from some of the pain. Only do this walk if you are fit, if you are a bit wobbly on your feet keep to the main roads...More

The steps take you to the gun batteries on top of the Rock. There are pleasant walks along the top from there. It is not far to walk to the cable car from the gun batteries, and the walking is fascinating. If you have all... More
