Stunning views of the island but made sure you take plenty of waters and appropriate foot ware as the going is rugged in places but well worth it. We did the light house then walked back to the cable car station did a one way trip up the rock then walked up to Ohara's battery and round the steps from... More

Is absolutely a must for people who love to hike and walk . You will be asked to pay €1 to walk the steps but the view is priceless ! Amazing and breathtaking . Just please take your hiking shoes and some comfortable clothes - sports if you can . I walked up in my hiking boots but in jeans... More

Took some biologist friends up the Med Steps to enjoy the views, heritage and wildlife. We took a leisurely pace stopping at every opportunity to observe our surroundings which in my view is the best way to do it rather than just whiz through it for training purposes and missing the place's natural beauty. This is probably the best time... More

To fully appreciate Mediterranean steps one has to like STEPS. Otherwise some people complain on too much physical effort that is required to go up. It is a very enjoyable and exciting trail offering the best views. You have to pay attention to your steps which are at times steep and may be tiring depending on person's overall condition. After... Climbing the Rock of Gibraltar via the Mediterranean steps is no mean feat! It's a difficult hike especially if it's a warm sunny day and it's almost as difficult on the way down due to the terrain. Absolutely stunning views on the way up though and an absolute sense of achievement when you reach the top of the rock. We... More

Enter the Nature reserve by Jew's Gate (up past the Rock Hotel). It costs just 50p entrance fee. The Mediterranean Steps are very well sign posted. It's a steep climb in places, so walking shoes are recommended, especially if wet. Take the time to stop and admire the incredible view (and get your breath back) along the way. We were... More

The med steps is a steep hike up one side of Gibraltar. The walk is pretty intense in some spots & you have to climb old stone steps that are at quite an incline. Wear proper shoes. Take your time & avoid going in the heat of the mid day. Fine for kids 8 plus if they are hearty and... More

Wouldn't make ny way to this again. Some steps but a lot of loose gravel walking. Not good for people with walking disabilities.

I am slightly disabled and walk with a stick, but every time we come to Gibraltar I do the Mediterranean Steps. I am told they should be done in about 2.5 hours I take up to four hours. The views are wonderful and it is well worth just stoping to take them all in.

Wonderful Steps, a natural garden with flowers, many sorts of cactus, wild herbs, it smells heavenly, and what a super view, here right up, wild nature is my companion.
