Great club with fine setup, two stages and pretty good DJs. No cocktails and limited range in good spirits (Hendricks exception 18€), but the portions are good at 12€-18€. Trendy crowd 20-35. Face control focused on face, all-stars will do, but 2 guys and a girl might not... Book a table if you need more space and/or a hookah. Make... More

Thanks Elmer for your good review and your recommendation as a must for tourist being at Madrid. At the beggining it is true that our place is not still crowded as it is common for Spanish people to go to discos after 1 AM, but arriving early is the best way to get inside without having to wait in the... formerly Pacha, teatro barcelo is a huge Disco, very loud and very packed, it is one of the biggest party places around. Enjoy some drinks and dance to the music either in the main floor or the second floor where they play latin music.

We had booked a table out here to celebrate New Years. We reached at 2am and left around 7am. Even at 7am, the club was very lively and we didn't feel like leaving. All the effects and ambience created by teatro barcelo were amazing. It was the best New Years party I have ever been too. If I had to... More

When we arrived on NYE it was around 2:30h, apparently the hour to get in. The queue was really, really big so we thought we wasted our 60 euros entrance. In the end we queued for half an hour, so that was still ok. Once inside, we were lucky to have VIP bracelets which enabled us to drop off our... More

Thanks for your good review. The time spent in the queue depends on several things, but this is the thing why we ask customers to come in as soon as they can. We are glad to read that you enjoyed it quite a lot. More

After a long day of wandering through beautiful Madrid we decided to pay Teatró Barcelo a visit at night. On their Instagram we could get a good impression of the club and their visitors. When we arrived we had to queue up when all of a sudden the door host had noticed our presence. He came up to us and... More

Jason, we feel very sorry about your bad experience at the entrance. We are sad you could not enter and enjoy our party as it was your purpose. Thanks for coming to visit Madrid and choose Teatro Barceló to enjoy the night. Unfortunately, there are a few rules in the dresscode people is wearing, but is nothing related with the... More

If you are in Madrid for a short time, do not go here unless you regularly eat caviar. The elitism and middle-class, image-focused behavior is unbearable. Unless thats what you're into, then crack on. I went there wanting to dance and have a good time but I felt awkward about throwing my syck moves m8. Don;t go.

Hi Francesca. On Thursdays our public is up to 20 years old, not the same as on Fridays and Saturdays (25). There are 3 floors at Teatro Barceló with 3 different types of music: house, dance, R&B, funky, some pop music also... Just enjoy the one you like most! More

Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
