Royal Botanic Garden (Real Jardin Botanico) is a typically well manicured ornamental garden space which needs striking plants and flowers to impress which appeared lacking when looking in. Would like to see it it the summer.

I always like to visit botanic gardens wherever I go. This one was average. I visited much nicer ones even for free. So it is not worth it that much to pay 4 Euros per person in November.

We visited here on a November day, so the park was not in full bloom but it still had a number of interesting garden areas to wander around and in the summer it is probably full of colour. The small hot house is like a...More

Nice compact, only entrance near Prado, 4 Euros or 50 cents for seniors. Not the largest selection but worth a visit

I'm guessing this is a lovely place to visit in the spring and summer, but by the first week of November there were very few flowers blooming. It was much more colorful to visit the rose garden in Retiro Park -- not too far away.

The garden was nice and enjoyable, but by no means a must-see if you're short on time and I've seen other gardens that are better (Edinburgh for ex). It's the perfect activity for a lunch break or stroll after the Prado (it's next to it)...More

The Royal Botanical Garden is more than a place to walk. it is a place that protects and nurtures plants and has been doing it since the 17th century. We took a small walk through them (how could we resist at 50 cents per [old]...More

Needless to say October, after a long hot summer, is the wrong time to visit a botanical garden but you can still see the potential. It is still a good place to sit and relax in the shade after The Prado. Nevertheless the terrace of...More

This is very nicely laid out in formal rectangles. In November not too many flowers out, but certainly some autumn colours around. I have certainly visited more creative layouts but for a formal garden it is very nice. Over 65s only €.5

Paseo del Prado
The area around the elegant Paseo del Prado boulevard
is much-visited by both locals and tourists. The
world-famous Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the
Thyssen-Bornemisza museums form a triangle of art and
culture that spans this grand and beautiful avenue. On
weekdays, the Prado Museum opens its doors for free
after-work hours, drawing a diverse and excited queue
of art lovers that wraps around the block. Palacio de
