Love this place! My partner is spanish and we always go here when we are at home. There are never many tourists there and the food and beverages are delicious. The surrounding neighbourhood is also great to explore after you have filled yourself up.

We are sick and tired of the tourist trap called Mercado San Miguel. The market Mercado San Fernando has it all. Friendly atmosphere. Nice eateries. Fine drinking places. Everything just calls for coming back and back ... so we will :-)

I live in Madrid and I usually go to this market. You can choose among the huge variety of food (spanish -León, Asturias- and international -greek, portuguese, japanesse and vegetarian too) and you also have some diferent places to taste wine and beer. Love it!
