By visiting the Christmas Fort you will learn in detail the defensive system of Cartagena throughout history. Enrol like a cabin boy on our Tourist Boat, and you will be able to enter the only coastal battery adapted to show military and everyday life in a 19th century fortress. Nestled in the right margin of the bay and next to the lighthouse of the same name, the Christmas Fort keeps witness of the political, social and military conflicts of the past centuries. Examine the bunkers, learn how to handle a canon and discover the diet and the life of the gunners. Finish your visit enjoying the magnificent views from the terrace and relaxing on the return journey aboard the tourist boat.

Small place compared to the free batteries all over the place nearby .. infact it's tiny and although decent exhibits it doesn't warrant the entrance fee

It is a lovely boat trip out to the fort and then you can wander. I enjoyed it and also liked watching the activities in the habour. But if you are pushed for time I would leave this out.

Well worth visiting this fort. We went by boat and were dropped off and collected an hour later. As well as looking around the fort and the canons, there were several video films to watch which told the history of the place. Very nice people...More

We visited on a very hot day and spent most of our time watching the ships going in and out of the harbour.

Took the tourist boat out from the port and took advantage of the free talk and tour around the fort. It provides a great insight into how things used to be and great photo opportunities. This is a must visit spot

Like the other reviews, visited by tourist boat, great experience, well presented. Good views. Long enough to have a good wander around in the sunshine.

Started the day in beautiful sunshine. Took the barca turistico round the harbour. Stopped at Christmas fort for an hour. Very informative and nice way to soak up some of the history and culture of Cartagena.
