Great resource for morning jog, sight seeing, short cuts around the city, and just plain regal. The old fortifications are worth a visit.

Best way to enjoy the medieval walls is to stop for a drink at the Mesón del Caballo Blanco in the north east corner of the old city

Interesting place to stroll and see a well-preserved object being a candidate for a prestigious UNESCO WH List.

If you are walking into the City (Camino) then follow the wals to the main gate which will take you into the heart of the old town - this way you get a better feel for the place.

Be a 'Pamplonian' and seek shade or stroll about the converted Citadel / Star Fort now a park at the heart of the town.

Some sections of the city wall are intact, and the ramparts provide nice views of the surrounding parklands, city and countryside. You can enjoy a great viewpoint from near the cathedral.

Really beautiful views including a park. Lovely way to spend a reasonably easy afternoon walk on a dry day.

We got a free booklet from the Tourist Information Office of self-guided walks in Pamplona and one was around the walls. It was really interesting and there were good views from the walls.

A wonderful place to get a sense of history and to see what a fortified city would look like. The pulley and gear mechanism for the drawbridge is still partially intact. A quiet place for contemplation.

It's a big fortress with surrounding walls, OK for relaxing in the sun and gives a bit of a haven from the busy city but not much to see really and wouldn't spend too much time there.
