Wonderful sandy beach which is very clean and the waters were so calm with not a huge amount of water sports in the area so extremely peaceful. If you want a relaxing day at the beach this is the place to go.

Beautiful beach and great for the kids. It’s very clean and the views are gorgeous. The sea is really close which is all the better when collecting water for sandcastle building! Lots of bars and restaurants nearby too!

We spent most of the day at playa de la fossa in Calpe, right north of the cliff. Nice sandy beach. Some seegrass but not very much. The two oldest girls (10 and 11) tried the 'jumping-castle' offshore and enjoyed it a lot! 7€ p.p....More

Super clean water, mirror finish on the sea, good shops and bars. Only complaint is minima shade and couldn’t see parasols for rent so bring your own. Good for babies/ toddlers new to the water.

Lovely soft sandy beach with crystal clear water. Plenty restaurants and cafes on the prom just beside the beach. There is a shop at one end where you can hire the huge inflatables if you don't want to buy them.

Lovely sandy beach and shallow water - ideal for children. Promenade runs all along the beach flanked by restaurants and shops. There is a children’s fairground halfway down. Out at sea is an inflated play area with slides - great for children. Two areas of...More

This curved beach, protected by the renowned Peñon de Ifach is of a comfortable size. Not too large and not too small. Very beautiful and clean sand. Shallow waters of an unique blue colour. Plenty of restaurants and bars, but not noisy. It has a...More

Beautiful beach and great for families as the sea is calm and warmer on this side of Calpe Rock. Loads of cafes, bars, ice cream stalls etc along the promenade ... something for everyone. We've visited both May and Oct and both times we've thoroughly...More

This is the best beach in the area. To its right, the Penon de Ifach shelters that side of the bay making it brilliant for swimmers and little people. Backed by a pedestrian promenade and all the shops, bars and restaurants any adult might want...More

I spend 3 months last year and I really enjoyed the area. Lots to see, lots to eat, and very quiet compare to the summer. Really relaxing winter spot.

I agree with foxyDevon, you can't go wrong on either beach. If you are staying near the town end of La Fossa try the Capri for breakfast - tremendous value.
