We went here for the view

We climbed up the 207 stairs to get a nice view over Valencia. The view was really good so it was worth the 2 Euro fee to get there. We did not see the rest of the church.

The admission fee for seniors was just over four Euros each, but was well worth it, as it included a personal audio guide. The building is quite magnificent and we spent quite some time exploring it. From its Gothic structure, to the Renaissance and baroque altar area, there is much to see of interest. It is well worth looking at... More

We admired it for 2 days from outside and then went in. It reminded us of the big European cathedrals, although it definitely has its own strong personality. Its history is even more interesting than what you can see. If you want to believe it, you have the chance to watch the Holy Grail.

I've read arguments that say it is more a museum than a place of worship. I think it is both. Whatever you think it is there is a lot to see including hundreds of statues. Worth the stop.

This mixture of Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque is magnificent. It is also home to the Chapel of the Holy Grail....which considering its alleged importance is poorly displayed in a gloomy space at a considerable distance from decent view. Shame!

I feel that the building does not really know what it wants to be, church or museum. This is a church you have to pay to enter. That is unusual, even St. Peter in Rome does not charge. The interior is stark and somehow lifeless. As a cathedral it is forgetable. So is it a museum? Not really. It is... More

This is one of the highlights of the city as usual located in the city center. You pay a fee but it is worth it!

Cathedral is magnificent something like 1500 statues in total .It was only marred by the rudeness of entrance staff when we asked to worship for a few minutes ,we were told by one staff member no while the the other member said yes they both started to argue with each other and we just walked away .We were quite disgusted... Beautiful building (inside and outside), nice audio tour. Check out the holy grail and when you go downstairs you can see the fundaments of the old buildings on which the cathedral is build.

The cathedral was packed when we first walked past, so we came back in the afternoon to find that we almost had it to ourselves. Entrance includes headphones with a commentary, though a credit card or a cruise card has to be deposited to get them. The commentary was informative, interesting and certainly added to the experience of walking around... More
